How to never lose your luggage again...

Track the location of your checked bags with the palm sized Trackdot device.  Slip this small device into your check bag and receive text messages or emails notifying you if your bag has arrived in the same city as you.  There is also an app that comes with the device for your smartphone that will alert you as your bag approaches you on the baggage carousel.  The device will work anywhere mobile phones work.  The Trackdot will be available in March in North America.

Micato Safaris Travel Review

Lauren Jacob, president of Reid Travel, just returned from Kenya and Tanzania,  traveling with Micato Safaris.  The safari experience began in Nairobi, Kenya and included Samburu National Reserve, Mt Kenya National Park, Masai Mara National Reserve and Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.  Over the 10 day trip, she got to see the 'big five' including the elusive leopard more than once.

Anyone considering Africa for their next escape are free to come in and view her 850 photos, (after she takes the time to edit them of course).

We all get carried away while anywhere in Africa while game viewing or people viewing, because, we are afraid we will miss the perfect photo op, which are numerous, and eventful every time.  I know, I took video and a plethora of stills.

Many people that travel to Africa end up going numerous times because of the variety of things offered in various parts of the Continent.  Botswana and the Okavango Delta area is unique with the numerous bodies of water.  Famous Victoria Falls is easily visited from here.

Uganda and Rwanda are known for Gorilla Trekking.  South Africa is for the culturally minded traveler, wine connoisseur, offering upscale game viewing in the wonderful Londolozi Private Game Reserve and Singita Sabi Sand.

Micato, owned and operated by the gracious Pinto Family for decades, hosts an experience of a lifetime throughout Africa.

  • 1/2 cup, packed, roughly chopped fresh cilantro, including stems
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 avocado peeled, pitted, roughly chopped
