Experience the World

Women Travelers

With over 20 years as a travel professional and 30 years of traveling experience, I am privileged to have had the opportunity to visit some of the most remote locations and most visited cities around the globe.  My travels have focused on visiting UNESCO's World Heritage Sites and cultural immersion exploring day-to-day life with locals.

Over the past nine years I have been traveling "solo" which gives me another perspective on travel and I am ready to share my amazing experiences with other "singles" who want to experience the unique cultures within each destination.  These journeys will be small groups of women (8-12), personally escorted by me, exclusively for Reid Travelers.

The following departures are planned for 2013/2014, detailed itineraries and pricing will be available soon.

May 2013 - Croatia

October 2013 - Myanmar and Bali

April 2014 - Amazing China

Avocado Cream

Haas avocados are plentiful & tasty this time of year.  This recipe is an excellent topping for steamed broccoli, asparagus, sliced tomatoes, a sandwich spread, you name it!

  • 2 scallions, thinly sliced, greens reserved
  • 1 medium avocado
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-fat sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/4 cup cilantro or Italian parsley leaves
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

To make avocado cream, combine scallion whites, avocado, sour cream, lime juice, cilantro, garlic and salt in the small bowl of  a food processor and process on high until smooth,  about 30 seconds.  If desired, top the cream with scallion greens and/or bacon bits.  Yum!
