Begins in Philadelphia and ends in Washington D.C.
Departure Dates: June 2, September 8th, 15th, 29th, October 6th, 20th some departures are small groups averaging 24 Tauck guests
Day 1: Arrive Philadelphia: Tour begins 6:00pm, Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia. A transfer is included from Philadelphia International Airport to the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia. Enjoy a welcome reception and dinner at the hotel on Logan Square.
Day 2: City of Brotherly Love: Full day sightseeing in Philadelphia where you will tour Independence Hall, where the declaration of Independence was signed, view the Liberty Bell before the horse-drawn carriage ride takes you through the historic district. Visit the constitution center and see exhibits that show the history as well as the Constitution's releavance today.
Day 3: Amish Life & Gettysburg Memorials: Enjoy a guided tour showing the cultural traditions of the Amish and then continue to the Gettysburg National Military Park, where exhibits and multimedia presentations tell the story of one of the Civil War's most significant battles. The story continues over dessert when a storyteller dressed the part recounts the experience the civilians trapped in town during the 1863 fighting.
Day 4: A Legacy of American Patriotism: The battle of Gettysburg is a little more surreal during the morning tour of the battlefields. Next you will cross over the Mason-Dixon line to visit Virgina's National Museum of the Marine Corps, displaying 200+ years of Corps history and immerse visitors in the sights and sounds of courageous Marines in action. Continue on to Williamsburg, where you'll dine this evening at an authentic colonial tavern.
Day 5: 18th-Century City Life in Williamsburg: A full day to explore Colonial Williamsburg, the restored 18th-century capital of Virginia - once Britain's wealthiest outpost. Experience the historically furnished Capitol Building, Raleigh Tavern, Governor's Palace and Bruton Parish Church, as well as colonial homes, workplaces and shops.
Day 6: Jamestown Colony to Washington DC: The first permanent English settlement in the America's begun in 1607, before the Pilgrims landed in Massachusetts. Learn about the culture that shaped the colony. Then it is off to the capital and enjoy dinner at a popular city restaurant.
Day 7: The Sights of America's Capital City: Begin the day at George Washington's Mount Vernon estate overlooking the Potomac River; go inside the mansion and visit the interactive museum. While in Washington, D.C. enjoy the sighseeing of the Vietnam Korean and WWII War Memorials, and the Lincoln Memorial, as well as the White House and the Capitol. Farewell cocktails and dinner, followed by an evening tour of Washington, D.C.
Day 8: Journey Home
Go behind the scenes and experience Disney magic in the making! Enjoy exclusive VIP access to Walt Disney Imagineering, The Walt Disney Studios, The Jim Henson Company and even the Disneyland® Resort!
Day 1: After arriving at your hotel in the heart of legendary Hollywood, venture out and explore some of the city's famous landmarks, trendy shops and restaurants that are all located within walking distance - before the welcome dinner.
Day 2: Get a taste of "Old Hollywood" with a Disney twist - as you take a guided tour of historic places that hold fasicinating connections to Walt Disney and the company he founded. Enjoy an exclusive VIP visit to The Jim Henson Company, built on the original site of Charlie Chaplin's movie studio. Then, have lunch where Walt often dined - at the Tam O'Shanter restaurant.
Day 3: Enjoy all about Disney as you go behind the scenes at Walt Disney Imaginerring, where incredible Disney Parks entertainment and attractions are dreamed up. Learn about the history of the company, and its legendary founder, during a privately guided walking tour of The Walt Disney Studios, including a visit to the Walt Disney Archives. Afterward, it's on to the Disneyland® Resort for a special VIP experience and night of magical fun!
Day 4: Start your day with a special breakfast in Disneyland® Park before it opens its gates for the day. Afterward, go behind the scenes ona custom VIP tour of this legendary Disney Park, including Walt Disney's private apartment; the backstage area of select attractions; and a ride on the Disneyland® Railroad in the private parlor car named for Walt's wife, the Lily Belle. Cap off your day in the Park with a viewing of a special nighttime entertainment performance.
Days 5 & 6: Join Chef Goofy and his wacky staff for breakfast before heading off into Disney California Adventure® Park for some VIP fun before the gates open. Sneak a peek behind the scenes at Soarin' Over California, then enjoy a private experience on this popular attraction. Over at the Animation Academy, create your own sketch during a private drawing session. Your adventure ends with a magical farewell dinner - followed by a VIP viewing of World of Color, the nighttime water spectacular, in Disney California Adventure® Park!
